03 Jun An Amazing Opportunity

The TEDx Youth Team consists of both Scotch College students and staff who have been working to put this event together.

As a young person, and part of a globally connected, altruistically driven generation, the idea of finding and living with purpose has never been more relevant. Emphasis on making a difference and being future change-makers is emphasised today more than ever before, in the face of local and global issues in desperate need of innovative attention. 

Of course this presents a challenge, however addressing purpose on an individual and collective scale at a TEDx Youth conference such as this aims to give people big ideas paired with practical tools they can take away from the event. 

From a student perspective, this event represents an amazing opportunity to not only attend but to be part of the organising and creative process. Having students play such a vital role seems fitting, and speaks to the nature of this event: one that prioritises the voice of our youth.
