Purpose is fundamental to human life. It is what makes us human. Purpose gives us the will not just to live but to live long and well. It is not a grand concept reserved for a gifted few, but something each one of us already possesses, needing only to be uncovered.

Young people today recognise “The Power of Purpose” and how discovering and utilising one’s own purpose is the key to making substantial change in our world. TEDXYouth@ScotchCollegeAdelaide aims to explore the wide range of purpose that exists today, which can be found in the most unlikely of  places, in the hope of enlightening and inspiring the youth of Adelaide.

TEDXYouth@ScotchCollegeAdelaide will feature 7 fantastic speakers from careers and life paths as diverse as operating Mission Control at the International Space Station in Eurpoe to that of an African-Australian recording artist.

In addition to our speakers, TEDXYouth@ScotchCollegeAdelaide will provide engaging and interactive activities which aim to stimulate minds and form connections between strangers.

Tickets

TEDxYouth@ScotchCollegeAdelaide tickets are sold on an invitation basis first, followed by allocation of general tickets to interested students. Tickets can be purchased via TryBooking by clicking on the buttons below.

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxYouth@ScotchCollegeAdelaide, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxYouth@ScotchCollegeAdelaide event, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
